About the LLB (Hons) Law degree

  • We have strong links with legal firms such as Brabners, Forbes, Harrison Drury, Napthens Solicitors and many more.
  • You’ll present cases, take part in trials and learn about professional conduct in court in our state-of-the-art moot court room.
  • You’ll have the opportunity to apply to study abroad for one year at our partner institutions in Cyprus and Mauritius, or at another university across the world.

Grow your understanding of law in action by providing advice and assistance through our Lancashire Law Centre. We have a range of different clinics on offer to staff, students and the general public.

Working alongside Citizens Advice, the local authority, and other partners, you’ll be involved in researching and developing solutions to real issues, enhancing your practical skills.

Successful completion of our LLB (Hons) Law degree provides you with the basis to undertake the next stage of training as a barrister or to become a solicitor.

Entry requirements

We will consider your educational achievements, predicted grades, work experience and personal statement. If you don't meet the grades for your chosen course, we will consider you for other programmes.

  • BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM
  • BTEC Diploma: D*D-D*D*
  • Pass Access Course: 104-112 UCAS Points
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma: Pass including 104-112 points from Higher Level Subjects
  • T Level: M
  • IELTS: 6.0 with no component lower than 5.5
  • GCSEs: 5 at grade C/4 including Maths and English or equivalent
