Dr Majemite Daniel Uwanikone
Daniel is a Consumer and Commercial Law expert and currently teaches across a range of subjects within the School of Law and Policing. Daniel is also professionally recognised as an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Daniel is a professionally qualified Law Teacher and is currently teaching a range of law modules within the School of Law and Policing at the University of Lancashire. The modules include Academic Skills for Higher Education, Tort Law, English and European Legal System, and International and European Law.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the Benson Idahosa University Nigeria and subsequently qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2010. He worked as a Legal Associate in a leading Law Firm in Nigeria for one year before proceeding to advance his studies. He graduated from the University of Dundee, Scotland in 2012 with a Master's Degree (LLM) in Corporate and Commercial Law.
Daniel joined the teaching team at the University of Dundee in 2017 and was particularly responsible for teaching Commercial Law and Tort Law modules at undergraduate level. Daniel's teaching practice was highly commended by students and colleagues at Dundee. In 2019, Daniel was formally recognised as an Associate Fellow of Advance HE.
Daniel completed his doctoral research on online consumer protection and was awarded a doctorate by the University of Dundee in 2023. Some aspects of Daniel's research have been published and also presented on international forum of scholars.
