We offer the following services:

• Data recovery. We use the latest digital forensics technology to recover your lost files. Through tools such as Cellebrite and EnCase we’re able to extract data from a wide range of digital devices, including mobile phones and computers.

• Cybercrime advice. We offer free and confidential advice on cybercrime. Whether you’ve had your account hacked, spotted a suspicious email, or think you might be a victim of online fraud, we’ll help you figure out your next steps.

• Cyber security support. We offer a range of support, including helping you configure your devices, set up password managers, enable multi-factor authentication, and strengthen your online security so you stay protected in the future.

We’re based in the Lancashire Law Centre every Tuesday from 10am to 2pm.

All our services are available on a walk-in basis, but you can prebook an appointment or find out more information by emailing cyberclinic@lancashire.ac.uk.

Please note, to ensure your privacy and data protection, our data recovery service is supervised by our cyber clinic director, John Tuer. Due to the nature of this service, we follow strict guidelines and will conduct risk assessments. This service will operate at the director’s discretion.

She will provide you with advice on:

• Student applications

This is a free walk-in service and no appointment is necessary however clients will be seen on a first come, first served basis.

Using the University's research resources and academic specialists, we provide an evidence-based viewpoint on a particular piece of law, procedure or practice.
