What you'll do

  • Step into the shoes of an investigator with our immersive ATTICUS investigative simulation. You’ll analyse real-time decisions in our state-of-the-art Hydra Minerva Suite, present your case in our moot courtroom and examine realistic crime scenes in our CSI village.
  • You'll gain hands-on experience with mobile phones, laptops, and other seized devices to uncover how criminals operate. You’ll investigate cases involving romance fraud, the dark web, cyberstalking, and money laundering using real tools and techniques.
  • Throughout your journey, you’ll learn from guest experts, front-line professionals and supportive academics who are invested in your success

Missing Persons Information Unit

By joining our Missing Person Investigation Unit, you’ll have the opportunity to work with the families of missing people. You can develop lines of enquiry, and work within a wider network of cold-case missing person investigators.

Women in Cyber

Our Women in Cyber group is dedicated to empowering women to explore and thrive in technology and cybersecurity.

We are partnered with Women in Cyber Security (WiCyS) International and have our own WiCyS student chapter, which is internationally recognised. The group provides a supportive space for connection, collaboration and professional growth.

The group hosts workshops, events, and conferences to inspire and support women in cybersecurity. They recently organised the Women in Cyber: Lancashire event, bringing together students, alumni, academics, and industry professionals to share experiences, gain insights, and build valuable connections.

  • IELTS: 6.0 with no component lower than 5.5
  • GCSEs: 5 at grade C/4 including Maths and English or equivalent
