You'll explore strategic people management in response to global trends and challenges, focusing on workforce dynamics, organisational culture, and performance. You’ll examine how people management strategies align with business objectives, manage change, and promote a positive workplace culture, along with the impact of policies, regulations, and technology on people management practices.

Topics include aligning people management with business strategy, building a high-performance culture and managing talent acquisition and retention. You’ll also study performance management, learning and development, compensation and employee engagement strategies, using case studies to develop practical people management skills for the modern workplace.

You'll look at the complexities of organisational transformation, focusing on both big-picture and internal factors. You will explore how global issues shape transformation and how change theories help manage it. The module will also cover the barriers and enablers of transformation and the role managers play in making change happen.
