Business Administration - Executive (Chartered Manager)

This module aims to introduce you to theoretical, conceptual and empirical skills in the analysis of workforce planning. This includes the development of generic skills of evaluation and critical analysis which can be applied more generally. You will be able to critically analyse the conceptual and theoretical foundations of the study of organisational/team dynamics and strategic workforce planning.

This module will introduce and develop theoretical, conceptual and empirical skills in analysing the business environment. You'll critically analyse the conceptual and theoretical foundations of the study of strategic management and critically analyse the practice of strategic management.

In this module, you will gain knowledge of innovation management theories and methodologies, with a focus on entrepreneurship and decision-making in risky environments. By the end, you'll be able to apply change principles, drivers and culture interventions into organisations.

In this module, you will develop knowledge of business and management research, focusing on workplace change. You'll cover data gathering and analysis, financial modelling, and systems thinking. You'll also look at knowledge and information management, and the role of research in maintaining brand and reputation.

This module prepares you for the final Senior Leader Apprenticeship (SLA) end point assessment by helping you create a portfolio that demonstrates your achievement of SLA standards. It aims to enrich your learning through reflection and interaction with others. You'll also continue to develop your knowledge, skills, and behaviours in line with SLA standards.

This module helps you understand the value of business and public service, focusing on how values shape organisational activities. You'll explore how these activities can be integrated into practice, especially through procurement and contract management. This will involve an emphasis on governance and integrating diverse perspectives into decision-making processes.

During this module, you'll undertake a work-based project bringing together elements of your learning from different parts of the programme. You'll develop your abilities to design and conduct research. Your work-based project should produce applied research and may build upon the proposal developed in the Strategic Research and Development module.
