It’s easy to reach our Preston Campus by rail, bus or car. We’re located in the heart of the city centre, just a 10-minute walk from Preston railway station and Preston bus station.

If you’re travelling by car, you can park for free on any of our University car parks. The closest to the Student Centre are listed below:

• Harrington Car Park (PR1 7BG)

Don't worry if you aren't sure where to go, staff and student ambassadors will be around to help you get to where you need to be.

Our check-in point is the Student Centre. Have your QR code ready to scan and don’t forget to bring the Open Day programme you received in the post. You can pick up a campus map from our friendly check-in staff. 

Welcome talk

Once you've checked in, you can attend a welcome talk from our Vice-Chancellor - see your programme for full details.

Don’t worry if you’re running late, you can check in throughout the day.

Help yourself to a free hot or cold drink at our cafés. You'll be given a voucher when you check in. We also offer breakfast barms (sandwiches) for just £1 from Foster and Harrington Buildings.

Treat yourself

Don't forget to collect your treat token from the check-in desk too. You can redeem these at different places across campus.

Whether you’re set on a course or still deciding, there’s lots to discover.

Subject talks and activities

Join subject talks, facilities tours, Q&A panels and taster sessions. Most sessions last around 30 minutes and many run twice to give you flexibility. See your programme for full details.

Subject stands

If you can’t make a talk, visit the subject stands to chat with tutors and current students.

Our current students can’t wait to show you around. Check your programme for detailed timings of tours.

Campus tours

Our campus tours take place throughout the day and last around 45 minutes. These leave from the upper ground floor in the Student Centre and the last tour is usually at 2pm.

Accommodation

Guided tours of accommodation leave from the upper ground floor in the Student Centre. Self-guided tours of our halls and private accommodation providers are also available - opening times may vary.

Library tours

Library tours leave regularly from the upper ground floor of the Student Centre. 

Sports arena

Take a guided tour of the sports arena. Coaches depart from Maudland Road at 12.40pm. The tour lasts about one hour.

Worldwise Centre facilities tour

Discover our state-of-the-art language learning facilities in the Worldwise Centre. Tours leave from the first floor of the Adelphi Building.

We have talks throughout the day on a range of topics from our student support teams. 

Student advice talks

Join our helpful sessions on:

• Writing your personal statement
• How to apply
• Student finance
• Accommodation

Our current students will be around to share their top tips and answer all your questions. Check your programme for times and locations.

Our student support services are on the upper ground floor of the Student Centre from 9am - 3pm. They can help with any questions you might have, from your application to student finance. 

You can also chat to our friendly students who will be wearing red. They'll be happy to answer any questions you have about life at the University of Lancashire.
