About the role:
The purpose of this role is to provide research support relating to the TRANFORM TRIAL TRANSFORM trial | Prostate Cancer UK to explore best way to screen men for prostate cancer specifically in people with a learning disability and autistic people. Working closely with the larger project team, the work will involve providing support to the co-production team based at University of Lancashire and working with collaborating academic partners at other universities. The role will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the data collection and analysis phase of The TRANFORM Trail to find the best way to screen men for prostate cancer.
About you:
We are seeking a skilled researcher with experience in conducting both qualitative and quantitative studies, particularly those involving people with a learning disability and autistic people. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data handling, interpretation, and analysis, with proficiency in software packages such as Excel, Stata, SPSS, R, and Nvivo. You will have an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant area together with a professional approach to administrative duties.
The post holder will be based in The Mackenzie Clinical Research Institute which is a collaboration between the School of Medicine and Dentistry, NHS Trusts, Primary Care networks and the third sector and was established to develop research expertise and educational capacity to meet the challenges faced by health and social care regionally, nationally and internationally.
