About the role:

The School of Medicine and Dentistry wishes to appoint a Primary Care Link GP to join our enthusiastic and committed Primary Care Team. 

About you:

The post holder will work across our primary care community to recruit and support GP practices and other providers. Their duties will include ongoing recruitment, support, monitoring and evaluation of placement providers to ensure compliance with GMC requirements to safeguard the student learning experience. The post holder will work with the Placements Team to ensure timely resolution of any placement issues to ensure the students can meet their learning outcomes. They will also deliver primary care teaching as required and directed by the Lead of the Primary Care Team. 

Applicants will have experience of working as a General Practitioner and will have membership of the GMC. Experience of excellent leadership along with organisational and communication skills are essential. 

It is desirable for applicants to have had experience of teaching, mentoring and offering support to undergraduate clinical students as well as be lT literate. 

The successful applicant will also be self-motivated and proactive in approach to challenges and opportunities and fully able on their own initiative or as part of a team.

Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview. The position is based across our Preston and Burnley Campus sites along with travel to placement providers. Working days will be Tuesday and Friday.
