About the role:
The University of Lancashire wishes to recruit an IT/AV Technician to join our Learning and Information Services team at our Westlakes campus in Cumbria.
The successful candidate will be required to install and maintain a diverse range of IT, audio-visual and specialist resources and facilities across the estate and support other technical teams in the delivery of core teaching activities. The role holder will be required to support staff and students in the implementation and use of a range of learning technologies, including web conferencing activities and event support.
Westlakes is a developing campus with new and exciting courses being developed so the ability to adapt knowledge and experience to support staff and students across the range of subject disciplines we support on campus is essential.
About you:
The successful candidate will be naturally inquisitive and will possess a range of relevant skills and experience. They will have experience of IT and AV technical support in a customer facing role and of instruction and demonstration of IT and AV equipment, along with good customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to liaise effectively with customers and colleagues.
A Levels or equivalent or equivalent experiential learning are required for this role.
