About the role:
The School of Medicine and Dentistry has an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Periodontist to join its Clinical academic team. Working predominantly with postgraduate students, you will take responsibility for academic teaching and clinical supervision of students across all of the postgraduate dentistry courses. You will also provide clinical expertise, oversight, governance, quality management, quality assurance and clinical evaluation of the curriculum in Periodontology and in related programmes, as appropriate.
About you:
We require the postholder to have a strong academic track record in Dentistry along with dental experience in all aspects of primary care dentistry with specialist Periodontology focus. You will need a flexible and innovative approach to teaching and learning with a view to engage and inspire learners.
You are required to have a full current registration with the General Dental Council as a specialist in Periodontology and be on the GDC Specialist list for Periodontology.
