About the role:

The Language Academy invites applications from qualified, experienced EFL teachers to join the team delivering the English Summer School’s portfolio of EFL short courses in 2025. There are 4.5, 6.5 and 8.5 week contracts available. Please state which programme you are applying for on your application form. 

The post is full time, including up to 20 hours a week class contact time and involving attendance off campus on trips and visits. Tutors will also carry out marking and tutorial work and will be expected to attend weekly team meetings. A 3 day induction period will be arranged prior to the start of the short courses. Contracts are offered on a full-time, fixed term basis. You must be available for the whole of that course, including the 3 day induction. 

About you:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ESOL/EFL teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have relevant teaching experience in an educational setting, a strong ability to develop engaging teaching and learning resources, and a deep awareness of various ESOL/EFL methodologies. A CertTESOL, CELTA, or equivalent qualification, along with a relevant undergraduate degree, is essetnial with DipTESOL, DELTA, equivalent qualifications, MATESOL, MA Applied Linguistics qualifications or equivalent experiential learning as desirable. The role demands excellent communication and presentation skills, administrative precision, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Proficiency in IT and relevant software to support teaching and learning is essential.
