Full job description

The ideal candidate would be someone who is keen to work for an international company such as UL Solutions, to explore the experience of corporate business.

This role will be supporting the growing team in the EMEA whilst undertaking a degree apprenticeship. You will be working with global competent engineers to gain a better understanding on different areas of work, from testing to European test standards, and also to be involved in supporting the team with third-party certification in different areas of the business, such as Steel Protection, Fire Containment, and Building Products.

Responsibilities:

  • Shadow testing and certification projects with a competent global engineer.
  • Understand the concepts of project specifications such as: scope, cost, time, sample requirements, technical documentation, etc., by analyzing client input, available data, and product construction.
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of the basic general laboratory concepts of the day-to-day running of a test facility.
  • Gain knowledge with different testing/product standards, either for Europe or the US
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of product evaluations and test plan review.
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of quality procedures.
  • Help to support competent engineers for improvements and initiative projects
