Full job description

The role includes the following responsibilities:

Assist in the creation and modification of electrical schematics and layouts using CAD software
Support engineers with the design and development of electrical systems
Assist in site visits, installations, testing, and commissioning under supervision
Learn to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and documentation
Contribute to project meetings and communicate effectively with clients and team members
Develop knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and health & safety procedures

Company and Degree Apprenticeship requirements:

Applicants are required to have:

GCSEs: 5 at grade C/4 including Maths and English or equivalent such as Level 2 functional skills in Maths and English.

Plus, one of the following:

UCAS: 104 points at A2 including Maths and Physics or STEM at grade C

BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM in Engineering including Maths units

T Level: M including Maths and Physics

Pass Access Course: 104 points including 15 level 3 credits in Maths and Physics or STEM at Merit

International Baccalaureate Diploma: Pass with 104 points from Higher Level subjects, including Higher Level 6 in Maths and Physics or STEM

IELTS: 6.0 with no component lower than 5.5

Entry to level 5 will be considered on an individual basis, usually with an HNC Engineering or similar, which can be mapped against the KSBs and AHEP LOs required at that level

Our Apprenticeships have flexible entry requirements which take into consideration prior qualifications and experience. This may also include consideration of year of entry
