Airport transfer service

The airport transfer service is free of charge if you are studying at our Preston and Burnley campuses. 

You are allowed a maximum of 2 large suitcases and 1 piece of hand luggage. If you bring more than this allowance, you may be required to make alternative travel arrangements at your own expense.

Please note:

• Suitcase trolleys are available at Manchester Airport, but you must be able to carry and lift your own luggage on arrival at campus.
• University halls of residence do not have elevators, so you may need to carry your luggage up stairs.

We strongly recommend packing only what you can comfortably manage to carry.

Because our vehicles have limited space, you may bring one accompanying person. This can be a family member, friend, or guardian, but they must be at least 18 years old. This must be indicated on the additional information section of the booking form. Please note that the same luggage restrictions apply.

If you arrive at Manchester Airport late at night between Tuesday 13 and Friday 16 January, you can still book the transport service for the next day.

However, you will need to book a hotel near the airport for the night and arrange transport back to the airport the next day to use the service.

Your transfer type depends on demand. Coach transfers may be replaced with a meet-and-greet train service when required.
