Fine Art and Photography

Develop the creative and practical skills you’ll need for a successful career within the creative industries. Through studio work, we’ll encourage you to create artwork which is experimental and innovate.

You’ll create a compelling body of work to showcase. Our students regularly exhibit their artwork in our on-campus galleries to industry professionals and the public.

You’ll be taught by experienced lecturers who are active professionals or engaged in relevant research. This will help you develop both your creative skills and your network within your chosen context.

Our facilities and expert technicians provide support to bring your creative vision to life. Our facilities include three photography studios, digital print studio, printmaking studio, plaster workshop, a high-end scanning room, plus three large darkrooms. We also have a post-production room for print mounting and bookmaking. On our BA (Hons) Fine Art degree you’ll be given your own studio from the beginning of the course.
