The Medivet Veterinary Student Success Scholarship

Value: Your full tuition fees will be waived each year for the duration of the five-year course. This doesn't apply to re-sit years and or if tuition fees increase.

Overview
How to apply
To apply for this scholarship, you must be joining our Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVMS) course and meet the contextual admissions criteria. If you're offered a place on the BVMS course, you'll be invited to submit a written application in order to be considered for the scholarship.
You application will be reviewed by our committee, and one student will be selected to receive the scholarship. The scholarship is normally awarded before the start of the first semester in your first year.
- International part-time
In order to be considered for the scholarship, you must be applying to join our Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and surgery (BVMS) course and meet at least some of the criteria listed below:
- You can show that you will face significant financial hardship during the BVMS programme or as a result of your studies.
- You can show you have faced significant adversity on your journey to becoming a BVMS student, for example financial, personal, or circumstantial factors.
At the time of your BVMS application you meet some of the following contextual criteria:
- You are care experienced or a care leaver
- You received free school meals during your secondary education
- You're the first in your family to attend higher education
- You come from a military family (for example service child, spouse or leaver)
- You're a member of the Roma, Gypsy or Traveller communities
- You're a refugee
As part of the written application you will also need to detail:
- How you currently plan to pay your tuition fees
- If you've received a maintenance loan
- Any other sources of income, funding, or support
- Your accommodation plans during your studies
- Any caring responsibilities or dependents
