Hear from our students
Joining the Students' Union opens a new window and is a brilliant opportunity for any student at UCLan, with the chance to mix with people from different backgrounds and make friends in the process.

I found being a part of societies great for making friends as well getting to know my senior student colleagues, which proved very useful in getting tips on how to do well in my course.

Sport and exercise
You don't need to be a professional athlete to get involved in sport at the Students' Union. They regularly host give-it-a-go sessions where you can try new sports. There's everything from football and netball, to dodgeball and wheelchair basketball. And for those who do take it more seriously, you can compete in a number of cups and championships.
