At the University of Lancashire, we are committed to fostering a culture of support and protecting student welfare. As part of this commitment, we ask all students to provide details of someone appropriate to act as an emergency contact upon their enrolment with the university.
When a student joins us, they are starting a new phase of their life. In addition to the transitional and ongoing support that the university offers, in many cases students will have a network of people outside of the university that could also help them along their university journey. Networks may consist of parents, guardians, family members or close friends. An emergency contact is usually someone that a student might generally turn to for advice and support and someone who knows the student well.
