About the role:
We wish to recruit an IT/AV technician to join our Learning and Technical Resources team. Based at our Burnley campus, the role will provide support for a range of multimedia, IT/AV, and technology-enabled approaches to teaching and learning. The successful candidate will focus on supporting staff and students in the implementation and use of various learning technologies. The role holder will also be required to install and maintain a diverse range of IT and audio-visual facilities across the estate.
The role also involves undertaking safety checks, equipment inventory checks and updates, as well as providing advice, demonstrations, or inductions as required. The successful candidate will be naturally inquisitive and possess a range of relevant skills and experience, which they will be enthusiastic to apply in various situations. They will also have the ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative to set priorities, and work cooperatively within a diverse team.
The ability to adapt knowledge and experience to support staff and students across the wide range of subject disciplines we support would be an advantage.
About you:
The successful applicant will have A’ Levels, an equivalent secondary qualification, or relevant industry experience. They must also have experience in IT and AV technical support in a customer-facing role and experience in the use of IT & AV equipment. Applicants must also have good verbal and written communication skills. the post holder will be expected undertake a degree of manual handling whilst adhering to Health and Safety procedures within the working environment.
