About the role:

Future U is a collaborative outreach programme bringing together universities, colleges, schools and businesses across Lancashire. Part of the Office for Students Uni Connect Programme, we support young people to overcome barriers, fulfil their potential and increase progression to Level 4 study and beyond. 

The Outreach Intern role will support the delivery of our programme of activities in schools, colleges and the local community. Working alongside two Outreach Officers they will also get the opportunity to support the development of new activities and events. Alongside delivering activities, the Outreach Intern will work closely and support the wider project teams to support administrative tasks crucial to the programme. This role will involve working collaboratively with various stakeholders and with the wider Future U team to deliver project objectives. 

About you:

You’ll be a good communicator who has experience of working with young people. You will be able to follow processes, be organised and able to manage your time effectively when balancing a varied and fast paced calendar, and be confident using IT, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). 

A Level 4 or above qualification in any subject is essential for this role.
