About the role:

The School wishes to appoint a Campus Day Facilitator to join our committed MBBS teaching team. 

The postholder will support small, collaborative group learning on the MBBS undergraduate programme during the Year 4 Campus Days, and undertake the role of Personal Tutor for a group of students, including review of the students’ portfolios. Facilitation will include Case-Based Learning, Clinical Reasoning, Professionalism and also social and behavioural science set in a clinical context. Half of the day will focus on facilitation, with the remaining time being utilised for preparation, assessment and administrative activities.

About you:

Applicants will have substantial experience of current working as a medical practitioner within a clinical setting and experience of teaching undergraduate medical students. 

Experience of small group facilitation and excellent communication skills are essential.

Applicants must be fully licensed with the General Medical Council.

The role is fixed-term maternity leave cover working on Thursday. 

Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview. The position is based at our Burnley Campus with occasional attendance required at the Preston Campus.
