This is the celebration of a project working with children and young people across Lancashire. We worked together to write, film and create a collaborative e-learning course outlining the importance of children's rights, participation and explaining the Lundy Model.

The project has been a collaboration between Lancashire County Council, NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board, and the University of Lancashire. It is funded by the Children's Safeguarding Assurance Partnership and Youth Focus North West.

The launch will be an opportunity to see elements of the training and hear from the young people who helped to create it. You'll also understand how you can promote and share the training within your teams, services and organisations. We'll ask for your commitment to ensure the training is embedded far and wide.

This event also deliberately coincides with Youth Work Week 2025, the theme for which is Building Brighter Futures. The young people and staff will be discussing how youth work approaches throughout this process have supported our growth and development. We'll also look at why the principle of participation is integral to so many contexts of working with children and young people.
