Thomas Gomulko
Tom teaches on all of Physiotherapy degree programmes. His previous NHS roles have created a collaborative approach to teaching at Preston's Specialist Mobility Rehab Centre, whilst he also has several years of experience working with a Premier League football academy.
Tom's role at the University predominantly consists of teaching a range of topics on the MSc, BSc and Apprentice Physiotherapy degree programmes
Upon completing a BSc Sport & Exercise Science degree at Leeds Metropolitan University, Tom went on to study MSc Physiotherapy (pre-registration) at Manchester Metropolitan University before starting work as a Rotational Physiotherapist at Royal Bolton Hospital. He then specialised in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Royal Bolton Hospital where he was able to also assist with the amputee clinic with the Surgery team, prior to becoming a Specialist Practitioner in Amputee Rehabilitation at Preston's Specialist Mobility Rehabilitation Centre.
Having spent four years working in amputee rehabilitation, Tom has worked with a wide range of different patient populations going through limb-loss for an array of different reasons. During this role the opportunity to teach as a guest Lecturer presented itself to Tom, prior to becoming a part time Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the University of Lancashire. Tom has also worked at Premier League football academy since 2021, managing paediatric sporting injuries and providing pitch side cover for football fixtures.
