Dr Sanjib Sherpa
Dr Sanjib Sherpa is a Lecturer in Accounting & Finance at the University of Lancashire, where he is currently a Course Leader for the MSc Finance and Data Analytics programme. He holds a PhD in Business, MBA in Finance and BA (Hons) in Accounting and Financial Management, alongside a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PgCAP). He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
Dr Sanjib Sherpa is a Lecturer in Accounting & Finance. He is currently a Course Leader for the MSc Finance and Data Analytics programme. Dr Sherpa joined the University of Lancashire in 2019, bringing with him both academic expertise and professional experience. Prior to entering higher education, he worked extensively in private training institutions, delivering professional training on accounting software including Excel, Sage 50, QuickBooks, and Sage Payroll, providing learners with practical financial management skills applicable to business environments.
In his current role, he is actively engaged in:
- Leading the MSc Finance and Data Analytics programme.
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules, including Accounting Information Systems, Data Analysis, and Financial Management.
- Supervising master’s dissertations and doctoral research projects.
- Supporting curriculum design and pedagogical innovation within Accounting and Finance programmes.
His research interests focus on Microfinance, FinTech, and Accounting Information Systems, with a particular emphasis on financial inclusion, digital transformation in finance, and the role of emerging technologies in shaping business and financial decision-making.
Dr Sherpa welcomes opportunities for consultancy projects, research collaborations, and PhD supervision in areas aligned with his expertise and interest.
