Dr Asim Ali
Asim is a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Skills and the module lead for the Medical Skills and Quality Care year one. He is a GMC-registered medical doctor with a Master's degree in Family Medicine and a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education. Additionally, he supports the admissions process at the school as the MBBS Admissions Co-Lead.
Asim plans, organises, and develops teaching materials as well as leading the OSCE for year one. He also contributes to teaching clinical skills for year one and two medical and physician associate students.
Asim joined our School of Medicine and Dentistry as a teaching fellow before securing a lecturer role. Prior to this, he worked as a junior doctor in East Lancashire Hospitals Trust, within the Acute Medicine Unit and later as a Junior Education Fellow.
Asim has experience in medical education as he taught Family Medicine Masters' students at the University of Medical Sciences and Technology in Sudan.
