About the role:
The School of Medicine and Dentistry wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Evidence Based Medicine to join the Medicine and Dentistry team.
The postholder will contribute to course delivery, management, and development in the area of evidence based medicine and clinical research methodologies. Working within a committed and enthusiastic team you will focus primarily on programmes in the School of Medicine and Dentistry including the MBBS and Physician Associate programmes. You will support the course teams in the academic leadership, development and delivery of modules with a strong focus on clinical research and the evidence informed practice of medicine. You will also develop and deliver assessment and evaluation for these programmes.
About you:
You will hold an undergraduate degree and postgraduate qualification in an appropriate subject, and ideally a teaching qualification (or willingness to undertake on appointment) or membership of the HE. You will have a commitment to continued professional development.
You must possess excellent communication and presentation skills; have an ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and maintain good working relationships with other professions. Experience of lecturing and excellent IT, and organisational skills are essential.
